Three weeks ago, our bishop challenged us to read the Book of Mormon by General Conference. In our family, those of us who are over 12 are reading on our own. It's my new favorite thing to see Tanner and Brynley at different times of the day or night reading a few pages of that great book. Ellie and Bridger are reading the Book of Mormon reader... basically, the cartoon version of the Book of Mormon.
So tonight, when I took Bridger to bed, we walked into his room and I saw the Book of Mormon reader by his bed. I actually thought these words in my head, "I'm too tired to read to him tonight." And as he climbed into bed, I turned off the light. I layed down next to him and immediately he sat up and said, "Uh, Mom! You forgot to read me Book of Mormon stories!" On purpose, I forgot. I apologized and he jumped up to turn the light back on. As we read about Alma the Younger and Amulek, I felt gratitude... not only for the challenge to read the Book of Mormon in two months, but mostly for my little son who is feeling the power of this book in his little four-year-old life.
It's true... “And a little child shall lead them” (Isa. 11:6).

Kudos to Bridger!
